   Which are the best brands of ski wax? I’ve heard that to clean the ski you should do a quick layer of all purpose wax, is that accurate?

   if u leave the iron in one spot for too long u can ruin ur skis so jst keep the iron moving and u should b fine and

   and what do you do if any wax is stuck on the iron after, scape it off when it has cooled?

   I’ve never worried too much about doing anything but the running surface, but it doesn’t hurt anything if you want to.

    Thanks! Some of the fancy irons have a digital thermometer. You can also use an infrared thermometer to check the iron temp. It should be between 110 centrigrade and 130, depending on the hardness of the wax. The easiest way to tell if the iron is too hot though is if the wax smokes when you apply it. That’s a no-no! Better too cool than too hot.
