The race is in mid January. I am reasonably fit need but I need an upgrade. Problem is I can’t run/jog and I would need an everyday workout plan to maintain my fitness and improve it to a higher level. I know I won’t be in topnotch shape but I’d need to “survive” it. I used to run/bike, but I injured my Achilles 4 months ago and I haven’t done anything ever since. I do need to lose some weight; I'm 6' 0' and 165 pound, and I’d like to go back to my race 155. I used to do 50 km on my x-country skis or ran a half marathon under 1:25.
Any thoughts?
Thanks a bunch

Do weight training three times a week for your core, and lower body. Also, Reebok has a great machine that looks just like a combination treadmill/stair master. This is a great way to build endurance, because it uses a running motion but takes away the pounding, etc.
