I need a energetic, catchy, funky name for my new distribution business. I will be promoting and selling Extreme branded clothing in Ireland. It needs to reflect the energy, madness, skill, and fun of extreme sports such as ski, skate and surf. Although I will be initially distributing in Ireland, I also may expand to Bulgaria, so the name needs to be international.
I already run a seperate company called 'Bulgaria eXtreme'.
Hope you can help – I look forward to all your suggestions!
I'm not sure you've really thought the market through and thoroughly.
For example, the criteria for a "clothing range":
-energetic
-catchy
-funky
First, what is your market? Aren't you being too restrictive in excluding older (and richer) people? They are the ones more into skiing etc., and they are also richer – they can fork out the money. Why are you appealing your range to a younger crowd?
Second, I don't think the criteria reflects the mood of the market you're appealling to with the clothes range (forget the the market that will ski, skate, and surf – its the clothes range you should be concerned with, which isn't restricted to those that will ski, skate and surf).
Once you restrict your focus to the distribution of your clothing range within the context of a clothing market, you will find your options need to be broader because the market is tougher. You may find the people you most distribute to actually do not go skiing, skating and surfing. So why restrict your company name to tailor to a particular type of peple in the market? Furthermore, the people who ski are often experienced, rich and adventurous – would they want an energetic, catchy and funky CLOTHING NAME? Or a more laid back and chilled one?
Therefore, if you restrict yourself to the clothing market audience, you will find your options as to the company name need not be so restrictive and need to be broader. You can distinguish yourself more. You will be able to adapt to changing markets and patterns. its not necessarily the name that's important, its the "brand".
Some brand names could be "fan"/"fresh"/"mouse"/"boar"/"hart" – etc. etc. its the brand design that's important, and the inventiveness that will be useful. Also, you won't necessarily be able to trademark the brand name if it is not distinctive, so it also has to be original.

Gee, with an inspired name like Bulgaria eXtreme, no wonder you are asking for help. How about Ireland eXtreme then?

I don't know if it's already been used but I always thought RAWR (as in roar) would be a cool name of clothing or even RAW with a backwards R.
