If you anchor overnight, yes, they will find you in the middle of the lake. Take some mosquito netting and bug spray. Greeting from the other part of the world...Northern Minnesota. Our skeeters are about the size of robbins and will get you in the middle of the woods, the middle of the yard, and, yes, the middle of the lake. Usually, in the heat of the day, especially on a windy day, you're safe. Then it's those big dang black flies that take chunks outta your ankles. OUCH!<br><b>References : </b><br> Yo Texas!
