My crush and I (who are just friends at this point) were chatting on the phone at work, and I was describing a helicopter ride that I was invited to by a friend…and I said it's cool, but commented that it's not as scary as his hobby, helicopter skiing (jumping out of helicopters onto high mountains) and that I could never jump out of them…but I would ride in one".. He said "well, that's the difference between you and me". And it was kind of blunt. I noted that they offered it for free, but I would pay something as it wasnt right to take it for free. He asked if i would let my friend buy me lunch, and when i said yes, he said well, it s the same thing, why would you do one and not the other? It seems that he's trying to scold me or something. I'm several years older than he is, and the only thing I can think of is that he is trying to assert himself as a dominant figure. Is he trying to find ways not to like me? He's 27. Any thoughts?

He does sound a bit negative. Maybe he is not the one for you.
