Need help, don’t know what to do. My daughter and 3 her friends have renting Jet Ski in Florida last week and they have water accident, two Jet Ski was total. Now the owner tries to charge them for damage. My question is the owner can renting Jet Ski without any insurance or not. Who now is responsible for Jet Ski and hospital?
I am not sure what state laws are in Florida but I disagree with the first person that your health insurance will not pay. They should pay no matter how you or your daughter are hurt if you have health insurance.
I would contact an attorney in the area that the injury happened, usually a consultation is free, even over the phone. An attorney in your area would also be able to contact an attorney in Florida for help.

they are responsible for all incurred bills. the ins. was probably optional, and they declined. just like rental cars. your health ins. will not cover medical as it is a motor vehicle accident. just like a 4 wheeler accident. They must also have signed a waiver when they declined insurance at the rental place… good luck.
