im going to mt hood at the ski school doing the race program (mthood.com) august 12-18 who else? and for the people that have been there was it fun? im 14 years old. is there alot of people in my age? do skiiers sleep in the same place as the snowboarders? and should i stay at the lodge or @ the govvy?
well i already read the website and yes i am going. and the ability isnt a factor.
Lucky for you, many of the people should be your age! According to the website, 80% of the skiiers are between the ages of 10 and 18-plenty of friends to make. It seems to be very serious, but also much fun. Ability is not a factor, since people of all experiences are welcomed. Also be prepared for the schedule, which seems to include mandatory afternoon activites and an early wake-up time (6:00 A.M.!). Unfortunately, the information does not state whether you will be lodging with snowboarders-you'll find out at the camp probably. Only if you can afford it and if you desire the offered activites should you upgrade to Government Camp.

never been up at summer ski program sorry, but friend went to high cascade, which is summer snowboarding program. He says that u usually stay with people in the same age group (maybe like 13-16) but thats about all he remembers. Sorry I couldn't provide more info. I know there are numbers/ email addresses that you can contact if you have questions though!
