Well, I was thinking of skiing in Timberline Lodge/Resort in Portland, Oregon if Canada doesn't work, does anyone know if there is still snow there around July 4th?
There is snow on Mt Hood in July. Some people train there during the summer too. I do know that not all the chair lifts operate at that time, but call the timberline lodge for more info. I have stayed at the lodge a few times and it sure is nice.

By Independence Day the resorts will be closed up. There is skiing at Mt Bachelor often into June but i have never heard of any in July. I suppose you could check into heliskiing but can not recall hearing of any at Mt Hood. Plenty of water-skiing and such in Oregon during the summer though.

Yes there is skiing there year around. And water skiing in the Willamette River if you don't mind the after glow.
