I want to ski this summer, but I dont have to money to fly out to Colorado. If you can, where does it snow year round in the North East?
You might try going 30-40 degrees further north. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait a few more weeks.
Well - you COULD go to Lake Placid, NY. The Olympic training facility there has some plastic matting down on part of one hill, and I’ve seen people ski on that. But they get there by zooming down the ski jump, flying 80-100 meters through the air, and land (hopefully) without scattering skis, poles, and limbs all over the hillside. Willing to give that a go, Fashionista?

WTF? You gotta be kidding me? Did you sleep through Geography class, bro? The highest peak in the NE USA is Mt. Washington which anyone who bothers to look up info about it knows there is an auto road to the top that is open in the summer…that means NO SNOW!
You might…MIGHT…get lucky and squeeze out a few days at Tuckerman’s Ravine in late June, but nearly every resort has pulled the plug on skiing by April 15…except those jokers at Killington that will try to keep Superstar open until May.
Point #2: Even A-Basin in CO doesn’t go year round. They make it into late June sometimes. Most of the 14ers all have no skiable terrain after Memorial Day. You’ll be lucky to find some isolated pockets of snow in the backcountry, but if you want to ride a chairlift you’ll have to go to Mt. Hood in Oregon or fly to New Zealand or South America.
I suppose you MIGHT be able to find some snow in the Chic Chocs really late in the season, maybe some other place in NE Canada too. But getting there requires a passport and some willingness to drive for three days.
